Crispy Breaded Mushrooms with a Seafood Sauce

Ingredients
  • One pound of cleaned and trimmed button mushrooms or cremini mushrooms
  • One cup of flour for all purposes
  • One teaspoon of paprika
  • A half-tsp of onion powder
  • To taste, add salt and pepper.
  • Two big eggs
  • half a cup of milk
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs (for added crunch)
  • vegetable-based frying oil
Steps

  2. Utilising paper towels, pat dry the cleaned mushrooms. Combine the flour, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in a shallow dish.

  4. Whisk the eggs and milk together in a small dish. Transfer the breadcrumbs to another shallow dish.

  6. Shake off any extra flour after applying the seasoned flour to each mushroom. After dipping the floured mushroom into the egg mixture, carefully press it into the breadcrumbs to ensure it sticks. Continue with every mushroom.
